Simply Solar is searching for an experienced Account Receivable Lead who exhibits our core values as a Thoughtful, Empathetic, and Driven accounting professional. Key Accounting Duties :

• Daily maintenance of accounting records, utilizing GAAP standards
• Lead daily invoicing and collection efforts while balancing customer satisfaction and business needs
• Understand and manage client financing process to support project managers (training expected)
• Support accounts payable bill processing and payment run
• Reconcile G/L accounts and process journal entries, as needed
• Support and maintain financial controls 
• Job Cost accounting and inventory tracking
• Assist with Subcontractor payment compliance
• CRM support and data accuracy review 
• Weekly time card and payroll processing support (Training available)

Office Management Duties:

• Answer and route inbound phone calls using a multi-line phone system as a backup
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages, as needed
• Support accounting function with data entry, insurance follow-up, and basic bookkeeping
• Coordinate with cleaning staff; help maintain day-to-day cleanliness of common areas
• Assist with event planning, organizing office lunches, and employee recognition as directed

  Required Skills:

• 3+ years of regular accounting/financial experience
• Bachelor’s degree or additional relevant experience in a related field
• Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks Online) and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to multitask while managing instant message, phone, and email communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish priorities and identify key result expectations with a plan to achieve them
• Strong leadership qualities; Seeks opportunities to develop team and one’s self
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Results-driven: Pursue everything with purpose, resourcefulness, and the need to achieve desired outcomes.
• Tackles challenges promptly with optimism and transparency
• Must be able to work out of our Petaluma office

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• A/P and A/R processing experience
• Strong technical skills
• Payroll processing experience
• Comfortable with instant messenger and phone communication
• Salesforce experience
