DETAILS OF THE POSITION
POSITION: Executive Director
LOCATION: The SVS office is located off main street in Salmon, ID. The ED is expected to maintain a presence at the SVS office and regularly engage with staff and key partners, however, a combination of in-office and telework flexibility is negotiable.
REPORTS TO: SVS Board Chair and Executive Committee Board of Directors
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Permanent Full-Time (35 to 40 hrs/week), Exempt
EMPLOYEE SALARY: $56,420 - $69,680 per year, dependent on experience
BENEFITS: Vacation and sick days, 10 paid holidays, monthly health care and cell phone stipend, training opportunities.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing SVS’s operations, supporting staff in the implementation and delivery of strategic objectives and project work, and leading fundraising strategies. This leader should be passionate about rural livelihoods and quality of life, rural development through land stewardship and community driven projects, and bringing diverse voices together to benefit the land, communities, and future generations. The Director works with SVS’s Associate Director to oversee operations, budget, and program development. The Director will report to the Chair of the Board of Directors and will be evaluated by the Board Executive Committee. As the principal spokesperson of SVS, the Director must maintain positive relationships with members of the community and display high standards of integrity and professionalism.
