What You'll Do:
Deliver Exceptional Patient Interactions: Answer inbound calls with professionalism, empathy, and a genuine desire to help. Provide clear and accurate information, address patient concerns, and ensure a positive and supportive experience.
Resolve Challenges with Empathy: Effectively de-escalate challenging situations and resolve patient concerns with patience and understanding. Provide solutions and comfort, turning potentially negative experiences into positive ones.
Proactively Connect with Patients and Facilities: Initiate outbound calls to patients and healthcare facilities for appointment rescheduling, information gathering, and follow-up.
Collaborate and Enhance Patient Services: Work closely with our talented call center team to continuously improve patient services and contribute to your own professional development. Share insights, participate in training, and embrace a culture of continuous learning.
Efficiently Triage and Direct Calls: Accurately assess patient needs and direct calls to the appropriate departments or personnel.
Navigate Insurance and Medical Terminology: Demonstrate a solid understanding of commercial health insurance and essential medical terminology to provide accurate and informed assistance.
Uphold the Highest Standards of Customer Service: Consistently provide exceptional service, exceeding patient expectations and maintaining a professional and positive demeanor.
Ensure Data Security and Compliance: Safeguard sensitive patient information in strict adherence to HIPAA protocols.
What You'll Bring:
At least one year of experience in a relevant customer service or healthcare role.
Practical knowledge of medical office procedures and workflows.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, database management, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust.
Strong computer literacy and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of various insurance types and billing practices.
Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Familiarity with AthenaHealth systems is a plus.
A positive attitude, and a desire to learn and grow.
