This position is located at the Milpitas Investigations Office in Milpitas.

Under direction of the Supervising Inspector, the Occupational Licensing (OL) Inspector performs inspections of entities licensed, or seeking to be licensed, by DMV’s OL Branch. The Inspector applies knowledge of the pertinent statutes, regulations, and policies when advising OL applicants and licensees of the licensing requirements, reviews applications, and makes recommendations for application approval or refusal. The Inspector conducts periodic post-licensing inspections of business locations, communicates deficiencies to licensees, and makes referrals to investigative staff where appropriate.

The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.
