The Board of Barbering and Cosmetology is currently recruiting for an Inspector I or Inspector II to conduct inspections of salons, barbershops, and schools for compliance with Board laws and regulations.

This is a home as headquarters position and multiple counties are being considered, including but not limited to Alameda, Contra Costa, Solano, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Santa Clara, San Francisco, and San Mateo.

The Inspector classification requires a medical evaluation to determine if the applicant can perform the essential functions of the job safely and effectively. The incumbent must possess a valid California Driver's License.

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).
