Toll Landscape is celebrating 20+ successful years in business as one of the country’s most prestigious Landscape Design/Build/Maintain company. We are a subsidiary of Toll Brothers, the nation’s leading builder of luxury homes.

We are expanding our operations and have an immediate opportunity for a dynamic Landscape Sales Representative / Designer to sell custom landscape designs and project installations to our high-end residential customers in Danbury, Connecticut.

What is the opportunity?

The Landscape Sales Designer is responsible for developing landscape design proposals to meet and/or exceed customer expectations. This role presents plans to customers while upselling outdoor lifestyle and designs, to achieve projected company profit. In addition, this role must be able to overcome objections and obstacles to close sales and effectively collaborate with the internal Toll Landscape team to execute the plan.

What are the primary responsibilities?

• Design and develop landscape plans that meet and exceed our customers’ expectations
• Prepare cost estimate quotations, contracts, and final invoices
• Lead homebuyer meetings and ongoing communication throughout the entire design and build process
• Communicate with Toll Landscape crews and Toll Brothers project management and sales teams to ensure the design plan is implemented successfully
• Conduct site surveys and inspect finished landscape work to ensure that it adheres to the contracted plan
• Perform follow-up inspections as necessary to ensure success of installation
• Additional responsibilities as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction

Does this describe you?

• Excellent customer service and selling skills
• A self-starter and has demonstrated the ability to work independently
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Good design eye with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple customers from first contact throughout the completion of the projects
• Thorough knowledge of construction techniques

Do you have these ?

• Essential:
  • 5+ years of residential and/or commercial landscape design and sales experience
  • Degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or related field
  • Horticultural and landscape construction knowledge is essential.
  • Basic Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills to create estimates and contracts.
  • Ability to convey designs to client using computer aided imagery.

• Preferred:
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD, Realtime Landscaping Architect
  • Registered landscape architect
