Marketing & Events Coordinator
Located in the heart of Napa Valley’s Oakville region, Turnbull Wine Cellars has been crafting exceptional wines of time and place since 1979. We are seeking a Marketing & Events Coordinator to join our team in a full-time, onsite role. This position reports to the DTC Director, and supports marketing, event, and sales execution across our DTC channels. The ideal candidate is passionate about wine, highly organized, and eager to contribute to a wide range of projects with creativity and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing
• Assist in creating compelling, on-brand copy for email marketing campaigns, social media, tech sheets, tasting notes, and various onsite/offsite marketing collateral.
• Manage daily social media engagement, including reposts, follower interactions, and responding to inquiries.
• Maintain and regularly update the internal marketing and events calendar, ensuring clear communication across departments.
• Track and organize digital assets, including Turnbull images and marketing collateral.
• Support the coordination of photography and content creation for marketing initiatives.
• Submit wines for review in alignment with media sample mailing schedules.
• Work with third-party vendors on packaging and collateral reordering.
• Assist with inter-winery and concierge outreach to expand brand presence.
• Track KPIs and marketing performance metrics, providing analysis and insights to optimize future email, social, and sample mailing campaigns.
Events
• Work with the DTC Director and Membership Manager to coordinate, plan, and execute winery events, thoroughly from start to finish, both onsite and offsite.
• Manage event logistics, including vendor coordination, rental orders, and event setup/breakdown.
• Maintain inventory and organization of event supplies, including wine, glassware, furniture, and A/V equipment.
• Ensure event spaces are stocked, organized, and fully prepared for seamless execution.
• Assist in guest follow-up, proposal and contract preparation, and event revenue/budget tracking.
• Provide an elevated guest experience in alignment with Turnbull’s brand and hospitality standards.
• Support in offsite Wholesale event planning as needed,
• Occasionally assist and work at offsite events.
Sales & Wine Club Support
• Support DTC and Wholesale sales channels, creating collateral, pulling customer lists, creating department-specific communications, and assisting with on-brand customer service as needed.
• Assist with DTC order processing and high-touch VIP customer service.
• Support the planning and execution of annual Holiday and Corporate Gifting campaigns.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with key clients, providing white-glove service.
• Assist with weekly and monthly inventory tracking in collaboration with the Inventory Manager.
• Be a POS super-user, supporting the Wine Club & Shipping Manager with order processing and fulfillment as needed.
• Help pack and organize Wine Club orders for seasonal shipments.
• Provide additional support for Wine Club communications, credit card updates, and special member requests.
• Assist in the Tasting Room as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Strong, meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including professional email etiquette.
• Creative problem-solver with a forward-thinking mindset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with vendors.
• Demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation, with the ability to work independently.
• Dependable in nature, able to thrive in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining a flexible, positive attitude, and team-player mentality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and Wine Direct (or POS similar platforms).
• Ability to travel occasionally for winery events.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, stand for events, and lift up to 45 lbs.
• Work occasional weekends and evenings for winery events, with the ability to travel for any offsite events.
• Professional appearance and demeanor, representing Turnbull with polish and authenticity.
Preferred Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in marketing, business development, or the wine industry.
• 2+ years of copywriting experience with examples of marketing campaigns.
• 2+ years of customer service experience in a DTC setting.
• Familiarity with email marketing campaign strategy and best practices.
• Experience with Klaviyo, Campaign Monitor, RedChirp/other email and text-based marketing platforms.
Compensation & Benefits:
