We are centrally located in New Orleans, LA. We service Orleans and Jefferson Parish as well as other surrounding areas.

North Star Gems In-home Care, LLC. Is currently seeking Patient Care Assistants for Full/Part-time, PRN's and Weekend positions.

4-8-10-12 HOUR SHIFTS AVAILABLE

Full Time Days/Evening/Nights/Weekends

Part-Time Days/Evening/Nights/Weekends

Full Time Weekends only

Part Time Weekends only

PRN

Floaters to cover current contractor vacations

Hours can vary and can change based off business & client's needs. 

However normal shifts are as follows:

Day shifts are 7am-3pm,

Evening shifts are 3pm-11pm AND

Overnight shifts are 11pm-7am

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and other daily tasks
• Perform basic health care services for clients including checking vital signs and medication reminders
• Help with general light housekeeping, including cooking meals
• Make transportation arrangements or provide transportation for clients as needed
• Collect information about conditions and treatments plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family members *Observe and report on each client's condition.
• Remain up to date with home health aide training, policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school education/GED or equivalent required
• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS NATIONWIDE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK
• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG SCREENING
• Experience working as a personal care aide or similar field
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain empathetic to patient needs
• High attention to detail
• Current BLS/CPR card
• Valid Driver's License & Auto insurance-Driver's license required for all day/evening positions
• Social Security Card
• Reliable transportation & backup transportation plan
• Must be 18 years or older
• Experience supporting Dementia & Alzheimer's is PREFERRED but not required.
