About the Position:

Harris Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to provide leadership in the daily operations of the inpatient pharmacy. This role is responsible for hiring, training, and developing staff while ensuring pharmacy operations align with patient care excellence, safety, regulatory compliance, and fiscal responsibility. The Pharmacy Supervisor will oversee pharmacy operations, mentor and train pharmacists, pharmacy residents, interns, and pharmacy technicians, and coordinate work to maintain performance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee daily inpatient pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory rules and patient care excellence.
• Hire, train, and develop pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Mentor and supervise pharmacists, pharmacy residents, interns, and pharmacy technicians.
• Ensure adherence to fiscal responsibility, managing revenue generation and expenses efficiently.
• Coordinate and oversee work performed by pharmacy staff to maintain performance standards and accuracy.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s or PharmD in Pharmacy; Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (must obtain Texas license within 90 days if by reciprocity).
• Licensure/Certification: ACPE IV Sterile Certification.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of total pharmacy experience preferred.
• Management Experience: 1-2 years of pharmacy management experience preferred.
• Preferred Residency: PGY1 or PGY2 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency.
• Skills: Strong analytical, research, statistical, and PC skills; excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Work Schedule: Flexible, travel, and on-call availability required.
