What we are looking for: 
  • We are actively seeking dedicated tutors located in the U.S. who can commit to a consistent schedule.
  • We need enthusiastic tutors who specialize in reading and math (or both) and are passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals.
  • Ideal candidates will have relevant experience empowering K-12 learners and fostering their confidence and skills in these essential subjects.

  • Littera Tutors are fully remote and based in the U.S. Enjoy flexible scheduling options! You can create your ideal work hours between Monday and Friday (no weekends), from 8 AM to 7:00 PM EST. Substitutes are available if needed.
  • Subjects: Reading, ELL, Math, or all! Tutors can choose their subjects and grade levels.
  • Compensation: Tutors earn $22.50 per hour for English/ELL/Reading and Math sessions. $18 (base pay) X 1.25 (paid administrative time per hour)= $22.50 per tutored hour. This is a W-2 supplemental opportunity that pays bi-weekly! 
  • Paid Training: Receive paid training at $18 per hour and supportive teamwork. You will benefit from comprehensive training modules and ongoing support from a dedicated manager and team members, ensuring you feel confident and prepared to succeed from day one!
  • Schedule: This is a Part-Time W-2 position up to 25 hours per week. Please note this is a supplemental income opportunity based on availability and needs. Schedules are subject to change depending on the client's needs, and hours are not guaranteed.
  • Lesson Plans Created for You! The curriculum is already provided, so no lesson planning is required!
  • Small Group Sessions. Students are virtually in a 1:1-1:3 setting using our Littera Virtual platform.
  • Paid Background Check & Fingerprinting. Tutors are invited to complete fingerprinting steps to be eligible for school districts that mandate fingerprinting. Although fingerprinting is not mandatory, opting for it allows for more sessions.  Tutors who are fingerprinted will be able to start tutoring sooner. Littera covers the cost of tutor background checks and fingerprinting. It's important to know that previous fingerprinting is not transferable. 

What You'll Need to Succeed: 

  • Availability: Consistent weekly availability and a schedule at the exact times each day are required.
  • Essential equipment: a desktop or laptop (Chrome browser) with a reliable high-speed internet connection, a headset with a microphone, and a quiet tutoring space. 
  • Proficiency in utilizing online virtual tools and technology.

  3. Attend a virtual mock appointment with a 5-minute mock tutoring demonstration. Hiring decisions are made within two business days!
  4. Review and sign the Tutor Agreement, consent to and pass a background check, and complete paid onboarding!
