Position Summary:
The Carpenter role is focused on performing basic and intermediate carpentry tasks, including the use of hand tools to modify and repair structural cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels. Key responsibilities include reading basic technical drawings, using basic measuring tools, and assisting in basic crane operations. The individual will also be expected to identify deviations from drawings, perform equipment maintenance, and keep work areas clean. This role provides an opportunity to develop foundational carpentry skills and contribute to the production and modification of wood-based products in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:

• Perform basic and intermediate carpentry tasks, including the use of hand tools to modify and repair structural cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels.
• Use basic measuring tools (e.g., rulers, tape measures) to ensure precision in cutting and assembly tasks.
• Read and interpret basic technical drawings to guide carpentry tasks.
• Assist with basic crane operations under supervision to safely move materials.
• Identify deviations from drawings and communicate issues to supervisors for correction.
• Perform routine cleaning of work areas and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks on time and maintain quality standards.
• Follow all safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Familiarity with basic carpentry tools and techniques, including the use of hand tools for wood modification and repair.
• Ability to follow technical drawings and identify deviations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Basic understanding of measuring tools (e.g., tape measures, rulers).
• Willingness to learn and develop intermediate carpentry skills.
• Ability to follow safety standards and protocols.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training in carpentry or a related field is preferred.
• Construction experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with basic carpentry tools and equipment (training provided as needed).
• Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods in a production environment.
• Completion of company-provided safety training upon hire.

Full-time hourly payrate $19 - $25 dependent upon experience, and qualifications.
