Adelphi is seeking Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide school-based speech and language therapy services for a school district in Grays Harbor County, Washington. The ideal candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders, collaborating with educational teams to deliver effective therapy services aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Washington State license to practice speech-language pathology.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Certification or eligibility for Washington State OSPI certification for school-based practice.
• Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
• Knowledge of speech, language, and communication development and disorders.
• Familiarity with IEP documentation and Medicaid billing requirements (if applicable).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams. 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities, including written reports.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans as part of students’ IEPs.
• Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students based on their needs and IEP goals.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and IEP teams to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home settings.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress updates, and assessments, ensuring compliance with district and state regulations.
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings to provide insights on student progress and recommend services.
• Train and support school staff on speech and language strategies and best practices.
• Adhere to confidentiality and professional ethical standards in all communication and documentation.
• Stay updated on best practices and advances in speech-language pathology through professional development.
